The Pumpkin Clippies design and photos were provided by Michelle Cooper. Credit where credit is due! Many thanks to Michelle for helping to enlarge our collection of FREE bow instructions.

Materials:

  • Alligator Clip
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scissors
  • 4 ¼" green grosgrain
  • Orange 3/8” grosgrain in the following widths:
  • 3 ¾"
  • 3 ¼"
  • 2 7/8"
  • 2 ½"
  • 2"
  • 2 ¾" green grosgrain

Step-by-Step Instructions

Begin by forming all of the lengths of orange grosgrain into circles. Glue the ends of each circle with a dab of hot glue.

Attach the circles together, smallest to biggest, as shown in picture. Try to align the seams.

Simply dab a small amount of glue onto the smallest circle and slide into the next size and press together. And so on.

Fold the 2 ¾" length of green grosgrain in half to get a crease, then take the ends and glue to the crease. You will want to form little loops.

Then, glue that piece to the top of the pumpkin, slightly off to the side.

For the stem, use the 2 ¾" green grosgrain. Cut the top edge to form a triangle.

Fold in half to form a loop.

Attach small loop to the loop you have already glued to the top of the pumpkin.
Line your alligator clip with the 4 ¼" length of green 3/8" grosgrain ribbon. Begin underneath the pinch, bring it over the pinch to the top, then under the top part of the clip. Dab a small amount of glue to the part of the pumpkin where all the circles meet, and affix to the clip, with the pinch at the bottom. Believe it or not, it does hold real well, so no need to glue the bottom part of the pumpkin.
