Step-by-Step Instructions

Sometimes, a boutique bow can become misshapen. Kids will be kids after all. This is how I fluff my bows.
Gently pull the ribbon away from the center. This helps to reset the bottom of the ribbon. Note how your fingernail is facing up.
Apply your thumb on the inner edge of the ribbon with your finger on the backside, as shown. Gently roll your thumb away from you. This motion will bring your hand toward you and will turn your thumb so that your thumbnail is now facing you.
For unmounted bows, you can press the center to a flat surface to reset the bow before reshaping the loop.
Your finished bow will be nice and full and loops even. It make take practice to fluff a bow and each person develops their own technique.
